atlantic waves

Here we are; I’ve been waiting for you

Here we are; summer has gone so fast

We went our ways to cross those Atlantic waves

Towards the same place—a sunrise as we fly away

As you passed I waved from my plane

Soon we move back

To apartment blankets and pancakes

Soon you’ll jump in my arms

Saying, “look love, the skies were insane”

But the pictures just won’t feel the same

Darling, let’s play a game

Called “I’ll make the stars spell your name”

Someday I know we’ll cross those Atlantic waves

Towards the same place—a sunrise as we fly away

As we pass home, we’ll wave from our plane

Darling, let’s play a game

Called “I’ll make the stars spell your name”

Darling, we’ll play a game

Called “I’ll make the stars spell our names”
