—THIS WEBSITE IS A CATALOGUE OF SORTS—
I needed to create a space for my work. I needed to create a vault of my art, my writings, and my music. Over the coming year(s) I plan on adding to this website constantly. Whether it's artistic projects, songs I've written, photo diaries of my travels, or anything else I pursue, this website will be a starting point for the rest of my life and it will be a method of documenting my experiences.
—What energizes me is the idea of creating something that no one has ever seen, heard, or felt before—
I certainly don't expect a website to encapsulate who I am as a person, as no lines of code could summarize 19 years of life, but I do hope that it will begin to paint a picture of who I am and what I'm passionate about.
It’s nice to meet you.
HUMAN CREATIVITY IS THE MOST VALUABLE RESOURCE WE HAVE—I WANT TO UNLOCK THE POWER OF ITS POTENTIAL.
It’s difficult to express how empowering it is when you no longer see a discrepancy between the songs that you’ve heard on the radio your whole life and the songs that you feel technically capable of creating. When you’ve devoted yourself to music for long enough, your ears begin to learn. You start to surprise yourself. You begin to pick out specific frequencies. You begin to hear new things in the final mix of a song you’ve listened to thousands of times before. It feels like opening your eyes for the first moment, although this time, you can see beyond just your vision.
At a certain point, you no longer see your favorite songs sitting up on a pedestal, you just see them as an encapsulated moment, created by your favorite artist, but not perfect by any means. Instead of music being about “them” versus “you”, music becomes about “us”.
I don’t know what the future holds. I still have a little less than three more years until graduation, and I’m sure that there will be so many opportunities that open up, many of which I can’t even fathom right now. Post-graduation, I’m thinking about everything from Oxford graduate programs in psychology to perhaps moving to Los Angeles to maybe even starting a company.
All I know for now is that I’m going to continue to make songs, focus on my relationships with the people around me, and create art that helps me make sense of the world just a little bit more.
IMAGINE A WORLD WHERE GUNS AND VIOLENCE ARE REPLACED BY ART. IMAGINE A WORLD WHERE SONGS ARE TRADED INSTEAD OF BULLETS.
That’s the world I want to create. Let’s see where we can go.
